Terms & Conditions
The rules that govern your use of Snapcash as a creator or a business, how cashback campaigns work, and the rights and responsibilities of everyone on the platform.
Last updated: 30 March 2026
1. Agreement and who we are
These Terms & Conditions ("Terms") are a binding agreement between you and Snap Cash Pty Ltd (ABN 38 680 105 917, ACN 680 105 917) ("Snapcash", "we", "us"). They govern your access to and use of the Snapcash app, website and related services (the "Service"). By creating an account or using the Service you accept these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
2. Eligibility and accounts
- You must be at least 16 years old and capable of forming a binding contract under Australian law.
- You must provide accurate registration details and keep them up to date.
- One account per person. Accounts are personal and non-transferable; you are responsible for all activity on your account.
- Business accounts must be registered by an authorised representative of the business.
3. How Snapcash works
Snapcash connects neighbourhood businesses with locals. Businesses fund cashback campaigns through Snapcash, which sets the cashback rate and weekly cap for each campaign. Creators visit and pay like normal, snap their receipt in the app, and publish a genuine public post tagging the shop with @snapcashau as collaborator. Once both the receipt and the post are verified, the advertised cashback (and any campaign content fee) is credited to the creator's Snapcash wallet and can be withdrawn to PayID.
Snapcash is a platform provider. We are not a party to the transaction between creators and businesses, and we do not guarantee that any campaign, shop or reward will be available at any time.
4. Creator terms
- Content must be real, recent and your own. A genuine visit and a genuine post. No stock photos, AI-fabricated visits, recycled receipts or scripted claims you do not believe.
- Posts must remain live and public, with the shop tag and @snapcashau collaboration intact, for the period stated in the campaign.
- Rewards are only credited after both receipt verification and post verification succeed. We may re-verify at any time and claw back rewards obtained through misleading conduct.
- Where a post promotes a business in exchange for reward, you are responsible for complying with Australian advertising disclosure expectations (for example, clearly disclosing incentivised content where required).
5. Business terms
- Businesses partner with Snapcash to run campaigns. Snapcash sets cashback rates and weekly caps for each campaign.
- Campaign budgets are used only for verified redemptions: a matched receipt plus a live collaboration post. No visit, no post, no payout from the budget.
- Businesses must honour the advertised offer for campaigns already live and maintain sufficient campaign funding.
- Businesses are responsible for the lawfulness of their own offers, premises and dealings with customers.
6. Rewards and wallet
Rewards are denominated in Australian dollars and recorded in cents in an append-only wallet ledger. Amounts pending verification, dispute review or cashout processing are not withdrawable until released.
Snapcash is not a bank and the wallet is not a deposit account. Balances do not earn interest and are not covered by the Financial Claims Scheme. Rewards have no cash value other than as a cashout to your own PayID, are not transferable between users, and may expire if stated in the applicable campaign.
7. Cashouts
- Available balances can be withdrawn to a PayID registered in your own name (see our PayID Disclosure).
- We may apply minimum cashout amounts, processing windows and daily limits, which will be shown in the app.
- We may pause, delay or refuse a cashout where required for fraud prevention, identity or AML/CTF checks, sanctions compliance, or a genuine dispute about the underlying reward.
- You are responsible for providing correct PayID details. We are not liable for payouts sent to an incorrect PayID you supplied, subject to the mistaken payment process described in the PayID Disclosure.
- You are responsible for your own tax treatment of cashback earnings. We do not provide tax advice.
8. Acceptable use
You must not:
- Submit fake, altered or duplicate receipts, or receipts from visits you did not make.
- Operate multiple accounts, bots or scripts, or collude to drain campaign budgets.
- Manipulate verification (for example, posting then immediately deleting, or editing tags after approval).
- Harass other users or businesses, or post unlawful, defamatory or infringing content.
- Reverse engineer, scrape or overload the Service, or attempt to access another user's data.
Breaching this section may result in forfeiture of rewards, suspension or permanent termination, and referral to law enforcement where fraud is suspected.
9. Content and intellectual property
You retain ownership of the content you create. By submitting content for campaign verification, you grant Snapcash and the relevant business a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide licence to display, reproduce and share that content for the operation and promotion of the Service (for example, featuring your post on campaign pages or our social channels), for as long as the campaign requires.
The Snapcash name, logo, app and website are our property. You may not use them without written permission.
10. Instagram disclaimer
The Service is not sponsored, endorsed or administered by, or associated with, Instagram or Meta Platforms, Inc. You use Instagram subject to its own terms, and you release Meta from any liability relating to Snapcash campaigns.
11. Liability and Australian Consumer Law
Nothing in these Terms excludes, restricts or modifies any consumer guarantee, right or remedy you have under the Australian Consumer Law or any other law that cannot lawfully be excluded.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, and except for non-excludable rights, the Service is provided "as is" and we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, loss of profits, or loss arising from: third-party services (including Instagram and payment networks), business conduct, or events beyond our reasonable control. Where our liability can be limited, it is limited, at our option, to resupplying the Service or paying the cost of resupply.
12. Suspension, termination and changes
You may close your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate accounts that breach these Terms or create risk for other users, with notice where practicable. Balances legitimately earned before termination will be paid out, subject to section 7.
We may change these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be notified through the Service and continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance.
13. General
These Terms are governed by the laws of Victoria, Australia, and you submit to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of its courts. If any provision is found unenforceable, the remainder continues in force. These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy and PayID Disclosure, are the entire agreement between you and us regarding the Service.
