Snapcash, answered.

How Snapcash works for creators and for local shops. Can’t find your question? Email team@snapcash.com.au.

For creators

What is Snapcash?

Snapcash is an Australian app that pays you real money for posting about local spots you already visit. Pay as normal, snap your receipt in the app, post on Instagram tagging the shop and @snapcashau, and get up to 100% cashback (max $100 per receipt) plus a content fee to your PayID.

How do I earn cashback at my local?

Go to your usual spot, pay like normal, snap your receipt in the app, then post your real photo or reel tagging the shop and @snapcashau as collaborator. Once both check out, up to 100% cashback (max $100 per receipt) plus the campaign’s content fee lands in your PayID, usually within 24 hours.

Do I need lots of followers?

No blue tick needed. You need 500+ followers to start, plus mates who trust where you eat. Under 500? Apply anyway. Our team reviews every account, and we reward real visits and honest posts.

What do I have to post?

Whatever you were going to post anyway: your flat white, your new fade, your fit. Tag the shop, add @snapcashau as collaborator, and keep it public and honest. You don’t need a script or a brief.

How much do I actually get back?

Snapcash sets the cashback rate for each campaign: up to 100% of your receipt, max $100 per receipt. Approved posts also earn a content fee. It lands in your PayID as AUD, usually within 24 hours, with no points or vouchers.

What does it cost me?

Joining is free. Cashback is paid in real AUD to your PayID, with no points and no vouchers. Campaigns are planned for Melbourne first, then Cairns.

When does the money hit my bank?

Once your receipt scan and tagged post are verified, cashback moves to your balance. Hit Cash Out and it transfers to your Australian PayID, usually within 24 hours.

For shops

Why would my local cafe do this?

Because regulars already post about the places they love. Shops only pay when a regular actually visits, buys, and posts.

What does it cost my shop?

Contact us to partner. Snapcash sets the cashback rate and weekly cap for each campaign, and budget is only used when a verified receipt and live post come through.

What kind of shops can join?

Neighbourhood spots that regulars already photograph: cafes, bakeries, brunch spots, barbers, boutiques, gyms and spas. If regulars already post about you, you’re a good fit.

Do I have to manage posters or payouts?

No. Locals post themselves. Snapcash verifies receipts, checks the collab tag, and settles cashback automatically.

Ready when you are.
