# Snapcash

> Snapcash is an Australian social cashback app by Snap Cash Pty Ltd, based in Melbourne. Creators pay as normal at a local cafe, bakery, barber or boutique, snap the receipt in the app, and post on Instagram tagging the shop and @snapcashau. They get up to 100% cashback (max $100 per receipt) plus a content fee, paid in AUD to their PayID, usually within 24 hours.

Snapcash (snapcash.com.au) is an Australian creator cashback app. It is not related to the discontinued Snapchat payments feature of the same name.

## Key facts
- Cashback: up to 100% of the receipt, capped at $100 per receipt. Snapcash sets the rate for each campaign.
- Content fee: approved posts also earn a content fee, set per campaign.
- Payout: real Australian dollars to the creator’s PayID, usually within 24 hours. No points, no vouchers.
- Who can join: creators need 500+ Instagram followers to start. Accounts under 500 can apply and the team reviews them.
- Cost to join: free.
- Platform: Instagram at launch. TikTok and YouTube are planned later.
- Where: first campaigns in Melbourne, then Cairns.
- Status: the app is live on the App Store and Google Play. Campaigns have not launched yet.
- Businesses: cafes, bakeries, brunch spots, barbers, boutiques, gyms and spas apply as founding businesses. Snapcash sets each campaign’s cashback rate and weekly cap, checks receipts and tags, and pays creators.

## How it works
1. **Shop**: Pick a campaign in the app, then visit and pay like you always do. Same order, same card, nothing different at the counter.
2. **Snap**: Take a photo of your receipt in the Snapcash app. That’s your proof of a real visit.
3. **Post**: Share a photo or reel on Instagram. Tag the shop and add @snapcashau as collaborator. Keep it public and honest. No script, no brief.
4. **Paid**: Once your receipt and post check out, your cashback plus the content fee lands in your PayID. Usually within 24 hours.
